Harley-Davidson XR1000

1984 Harley-Davidson XR1000

From Allen Museum Collection collection. A near perfect example of this collectible classic. A total of only 1170 miles on the bike. Certainly one of the finest examples in the world of this rare classic.

Produced in very limited numbers, the XR1000 is regarded by many as one of Harley-Davidson's best motorcycles. Based on the standard Sportster, the engine was highly modified and used cylinder heads and twin Dell'Orto carburetors from the XR750 race bike. The motorcycle was frighteningly fast but was discontinued after only two years of limited production making it, today, a highly desirable collector piece.
